May 24 - 26: New York City
After visiting customers earlier in the week I decided to spend Memorial Day weekend in the Big Apple since I was already in the neighborhood after Rutgers. NYC is truly world in and of itself. Part of my reason for doing this was to figure out the transit system for future sales calls. On past sales trips I would drive my car around and spend most of my time battling traffic and finding parking. The prospect of visiting customers in NYC always filled me with dread…not anymore! This time, I chose to stay out in Yonkers and take the train in every morning….Grand Central is a sight to behold. To my surprise, the NYC train system is remarkably intuitive. My favorite part of the trip by far though was all the little fruit carts around the city where you can get a refreshing snack on a hot day!
